Navy League of Canada - Sarnia Branch is the sponsoring body of the R.C.S.C.C #132 REPULSE – Sarnia Sea Cadet
Corps. We are located in the lower level of the Canada Post Office, 105 Christina Street South.
The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps is a non-profit organization open to youth between the ages of 12 and 18, and
we operate from September – June. Our program offers free enrollment, which allows any child in Sarnia and the
surrounding area to participate. The Sea Cadet program provides the opportunity for local youth to develop valuable
Leadership, Citizenship, Physical Fitness, and Life Skills while taking part in Sailing, Seamanship, Bridge/Shipboard
Simulator, Marksmanship, Drill, and Music Training Programs and Competitions. Our Cadets also learn valuable
lessons through community service and volunteer opportunities. The Cadet program offers knowledge that can be
valuable when applying for summer jobs, and university and/or college courses.
We promote a positive community spirit with cadets while being involved in such projects as Remembrance Vigils,
Remembrance Day Ceremonies/Parades, Easter and Christmas in the Park, The Battle of Atlantic and other volunteer
events. We would like to enhance the cadet program with challenges for our young people to be certified in courses
like: ROC-M (Restricted Operators Certificate – Maritime) hand radio, PCOC (Pleasure Craft Operator Card),
Standard First Aid & more!
We are looking for assistance with a monetary donation to enhance our Sea Cadet Program and give these young
people more knowledge and experience.
